| | | The sun blazed like a great red ball on the hazy horison, casting the sky in an array of red, golds, and fiery oranges spread out on the clear sky. Those rays cast an eerie glow upon a sheer cliff face that ran for miles and miles across the desert, only to sink down into the dunes of sand. The red clay that was revealed on this massive cliff face gave it an appealing color in the morning hours, but at this time it blazed in a perverse glory of what resembled blood. The cliff was inhospitble, it was nearly impossible to climb for one without claws, this made it a prime location for a dragon, which is why the Ruler of Kepesk lived here. From the large cave mouth that was the dragon's roost was sparkling, cool and clear water, a rare find in the desert but Bekilk had managed to dig up an underground spring to provide the most needed resource to make a thriving town. A rivet was dug so that the water would flow out of the lip of the cave and down to the town below in an amazing waterful, mist rising up to create a rainbow of colors. It was beautiful here, so much in fact people forgot who they were ruled by. Not many people actually reside in this town, but its always filled with trade caravans and travellers that bring in money from all around. Kepesk was the only town for miles around, so people were forced to stop here to resupply their food and water. This was perfect for a dragon who had an affinity for money, taxes were in place, but it was worth it for the protection and water Bekilk provided to the once bandit-ridden lands. The walls were high and made of sandstone, cut so perfectly that it seemed nearly impossible, it was a sight to behold in such a wasteland. Banners of black with the wicked azure symbol of a dragon's claw was blazened upon it, the Town's symbol in honor of their ruler. The buildings were made from the same stone as the walls, but sometimes they were painted in murals that Bekilk had contracted a artist to paint to give the town more flare and to make it obvious who owned this town. The streets were paved with red clay bricks to stand out from the golish color of the buildings, all roads lead to the one entrance in the entire town. The town was backed by the cliff face and surrounded by a semicircle of the walls which were well fortified, Bekilk could afford trained soldiers she could trust. Not only that, but most of the guards in the town were easy to spot, they were Draconians. These creatures were created when Bekilk had stolen the dragon eggs of others and warped them with magic until they were stunted with size and walked upright, looking like large, scaley humans, a short draconic face and wings. They were more adept at protecting individuals than a large dragon was able to, plus they were subservant to Bekilk and only her. In the town center lies a massive fountain with a statue of a dragon roaring to the sky, saphines coated the statue's frame and topaz dotted the eyes, making the ten foot statue shimmer in the middle of the pool of water. This was Bekilk's land and no one would dare defy a gargatuan dragon, not when she had created this oasis in the middle of the desert. Moderator: Moderators
